Gunnar Kilian on the current development of the Covid 19 pandemic

Gunnar Kilian, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG with responsibility for Human Resources on the current development of the Covid 19 pandemic

Gunnar Kilian, Board Member for Human Resources at Volkswagen AG, says: “Unfortunately, we are currently seeing a decline in the perception of personal risk in society. But that must not happen. We must stop this negative development by all means and must not tire of continuing to uphold and apply the anti-corona measures, some of which are also unpopular. A safe working environment for our colleagues therefore continues to be a top priority for Volkswagen. After all, the risk of spreading the disease increases again at the beginning of fall. At the same time, product demand is developing positively, so we are doing everything we can to avoid another shutdown. In particular, the corona test, being offered free of charge to our employees, has proven its worth in recent months and should continue to help us battle through infection chains quickly and successfully in the future.”
