The electric two-wheeled solutions can help to boost fleet efficiency.
It is not so long ago that the phrase intermodal mobility was on everyone’s lips – at least in fleet circles. The phrase describes a scenario where employees eligible for company cars are offered a range of options that allow them to design their professional mobility individually. This includes company cars, for example, as well as local public transport or what is termed micromobility, which involves the use of small, agile vehicles, such as kick scooters and seated scooters, for travelling short distances. These vehicles are ideally powered electrically and offer the added benefit that your business outfit looks as good when you arrive as when you left home!
Business potential
SEAT already illustrated the potential and practicality of such vehicles in urban use, in particular, back in 2019 when the brand launched a pilot project for electric kick scooters in cooperation with the then start-up UFO: more than 500 units of the eXS KickScooter model were made available to residents in the Spanish capital Madrid at the time, as part of the kick-sharing project. While this campaign primarily promoted shared use by private individuals, it also demonstrated the potential to extend use into the business domain for instance.
Scooter stars
Since then, SEAT has continued to develop its vision of urban and electric micromobility, resulting in SEAT MÓ, an electric concept that offers varied solutions and can cover the most diverse application scenarios. For example, the eXS KickScooter is now known as the SEAT MÓ 25, an all-electric kick scooter with a range of 25 kilometres on a single charge – perfect for the quick dart from home to public transport stop and from the train station to work. A new addition is the SEAT MÓ 65, which features a larger battery and therefore offers a greater range of up to 65 kilometres, making it ideal also for out-of-town use, where the journey to the regional rail station usually takes a little longer than in downtown areas. Common to both kick scooters is the ease with which they can be folded up and then transported conveniently on the tram or bus or in the company car.

- The SEAT MÓ 125 is comparable in terms of performance with a conventional 125cc model.

- Three different driving modes are available – as well as a reverse gear for ease of parking even in tight spaces.

- Allows users to charge the energy storage unit conveniently at home using a conventional socket.
Road’n’Roll
The SEAT MÓ 125 goes even further – this all-electric (seated) scooter is comparable in terms of performance with a conventional 125cc model. It has a top speed of up to 95 km/h and a range of up to 137 kilometres. Three different driving modes are also available – Eco, City and Sport – as well as a reverse gear for ease of parking even in tight spaces. An especially handy feature is the ease with which the battery can be removed and then transported in the style of a trolley. This flexibility allows users to charge the energy storage unit conveniently at home using a conventional socket. And another plus: the battery can also be used as a high-power powerbank.
Conclusion
Key advantage of SEAT MÓ: the electric two-wheelers allow meaningful reductions in CO₂ emissions in the fleet and at same time present new options forprofessional mobility. For instance, by supporting intermodal mobility on the commute to work, as smart two-wheeled alternatives in vehicle pools or to supplement user chooser profits.
