With its “ACCELERATE” strategy, Volkswagen is speeding up its further development into a software-oriented mobility provider. The focus of this transformation process is on electromobility with the introduction of attractive fully electric ID. models, as well as the consistent exploitation of the opportunities presented by digitalisation. At the same time, Volkswagen is making good progress on the “way to ZERO”. The goal is to be carbon-neutral in 2050.

ID.5 Pro Performance, 150 kW – electric energy consumption combined in kWh/100 km: 16.2 (NEDC); CO₂ emissions combined in g/km: 0; efficiency rating: A+++

Untill 2030, the brand will increase the share of pure e-cars in Europe to 70 percent of sales. In the USA and China, the figure will be over 50 percent. To achieve this, Volkswagen is converting more and more plants worldwide to electric production and covering all vehicle segments. Volkswagen already offers five models of the ID. family in three regions of the world. By 2026, the company will launch at least one new e-vehicle every year. The goal: Volkswagen is to become the most sought-after brand for sustainable mobility. Economic performance and robustness, which Volkswagen has significantly increased, form the basis of the transformation.

Electrification, software-defined products, new business models and autonomous driving – these four major pillars will determine the future development of vehicles. The real gamechanger in the transformation is digitalisation. The Volkswagen brand is forging ahead with the transformation by developing software and turning the digital customer experience into core competencies, tapping into additional revenues through data-based services in the utilisation phase of the cars, and bringing autonomous driving (Level 4) to the masses by 2030 with the new Trinity flagship.
